It was in the early 60s that a British business man discovered Tommee Tippee and set up a manufacturing unit in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK to produce the baby feeding products of cups and accessories. The original cup was designed by a Doctor with a weighted base which prevented it ‘tippping’ over and was embellished with a picture of a dog owned by the plastic company’s producers called ‘Tommee’; hence the name Tommee Tippee. Today the brand is the number one in the UK and Australian baby essentials market with approximately 65% of its overall sales coming via distribution in international markets reaching over 40 countries.

Giant in the baby feeding industry, the brand has repeatedly been credited a UK Superbrand, parring it with brands such as Nike and Microsoft, as voted by a national poll of UK Consumers (2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013).
